This week Mrs. Adkins’ 1st grade class studied the solar system during science. They read about each planet and learned some really cool facts! Did you know that Venus is actually the hottest planet (not Mercury) because it is surrounded by a blanket of clouds that keep heat in it’s atmosphere? Mrs. Adkins class also learned the latest update on Pluto: it is still not considered one of the main planets in our solar system but is a dwarf planet.
