In the Ivywood art room this week, Mrs. Wright invited guest speaker Nate Morgan to the classroom. Mr. Morgan is a local artist; a Center for Creative Studies graduate with a BFA and University of Michigan MFA. He joined the 5th and 6th grade classes virtually during their clay week class. He personally related to our students’ creations and spoke of his own start in clay works at the age of three creating art out of Lake Michigan mud. Mr. Morgan went on to create greater works and international travel projects in his interesting career which sparked great dialogues between him and our students. We are grateful for the voices like his sharing with both reflection and encouragement in a way that reminded the students that pursuing art and the creative process is worth the effort.
