Diagramming Sentences

Teacher holding white board of diagramed sentences

Our students do not work on diagramming sentences during only one grade level at Ivywood, they work on it throughout all their years at Ivywood Classical Academy.  Diagramming sentences helps our students ensure their syntax is clear and the sentence is easy to understand.  This past week Mrs. Knutsen helped a student with sentence diagramming during Distance Learning office hours.  After helping this student with diagramming sentences, Mrs. Knutsen was treated to a virtual visit to a cardinals’ nest this student has been watching, the home of “Big Red” and “Little Red”.
