February at Ivywood Classical Academy

February has been a busy month for Ivywood Classical Academy. As both the semester and the new year are fully underway, we wanted to take this opportunity to showcase the amazing things going on at our school.

The first thing we would like to commend for this month is our after school culture club. Earlier this month they took a trip to Italy where they ate authentic pasta, drank Italian sparkling water, and ate pirouline cookies. They also spoke some Italian, studied the geography and made Roman mosaics.

International Culture club set out a table of Italian-themed treats for the students. Our International Culture club poses with his roman mosaic

The next thing we would like to highlight is our Daddy-Daughter dance. We would like to thank our amazing Parent-Teacher Organization for putting in several hours to what was a huge success of an event.

Our students also made sure to share the love this Valentine’s Day with parties, crafts, treats and Valentine exchanges. Our kindergarteners even made heart sculptures to bring home to their families.

Our students celebrate Valentine's Day with a gift exchange in the classroom.

The last thing we wanted to showcase was our ski club meeting earlier this month. The ski club is one of our growing list of after school activities, and we couldn’t be more excited for the spring as we transition from skiing and chess, to soccer and golf.

At Ivywood, we aim to teach and equip scholars to become moral and intellectual leaders in society, and as we look back on the month of February, it’s clear that we’ve stayed true to that goal.
