ICA Board Member Spotlight ~ Troy Morris

In the upcoming weeks we will be spotlighting the Ivywood Classical Academy School Board members so our Ivywood Families can learn more about them and their passion and commitment to Ivywood Classical Academy.

Troy Morris is one of the founding board members of Ivywood Classical Academy. Troy’s relationship with education changed dramatically in his undergraduate studies at Hillsdale College when he was exposed to a content rich liberal arts education and fell in love with learning.  Several years after completing his MBA at Wayne State, when he and his wife Brittany (also a Hillsdale Alum) were exploring possible schools for their 3 children in the Plymouth area, they were left longing for more than what the schools in the area offered.  When approached with the opportunity to help bring a classical education via a curriculum developed by Hillsdale College to his children and the surrounding community, he was eager to help.   Troy brings 12 years of business experience to the team and is currently a Sales Manager at Thomson Reuters.  He cares deeply about children and their education and volunteers at Ward Church teaching 3rd grade Sunday School.

Parents may start dropping students off at 7:50 am. Doors open at 8:00 am, and there are three drop off options:

Option 1: Drop off at 7:50, a staff member will supervise students outside of the building until the door open.

Option 2: Park and walk to the entrance from 8:00 - 8:10. Parents may escort their children to the front or side doors.

Option 3: Utilize the car loop from 7:50 - 8:09

Ivywood utilizes a staggered dismissal. All parents must park and enter through the main entrance. All designated pick-up people must present their ICA identification barcode which will be scanned by an ICA employee prior to gaining entrance to the building. Students are dismissed directly from classrooms.
