Oceans

Student drawing of global map

Ms. Channels 2nd graders have been remarkably busy so far in 2021! The class is working on knowing all the world oceans and their locations. Do you know the largest ocean (the Pacific) and the smallest ocean (the Arctic ocean)? The students have learned that the Arctic ocean is the shallowest ocean, and this is where the polar bears live. While the warmest ocean is the Indian ocean and that all the oceans combined cover 1/3 of the earth’s surface.

Visit the Ivywood Classical Facebook page to hear Ms. Channels’ students sing a charming song about all the oceans.
