Have you ever wondered how all the potholes in the Michigan roads are formed? Well, Mrs. Knutsen’s 4th graders can tell you how the potholes are formed. The class conducted experiences with chalk and water to learn how the potholes are formed. The class put chalk in water and froze it, let it thaw, refroze it, multiple times to see what this process would do to the chalk (Michigan roads). The experiment results, pot holes!
