Ivywood Classical Academy recently held the second annual Soaring Home Fundraising Gala complete with a live auction, dinner, a photobooth and much more for our Ivywood Community! You can still feel the excitement here at Ivywood, with families and staff already looking forward to next year’s event.
We couldn’t be more proud of our community for supporting our school. There were over 300 guests in attendance who raised nearly $300,000, almost double from last year’s inaugural Gala. Proceeds are going toward the building of our new campus, and in total there were 92 items auctioned off at the Gala.
Our biggest supporter came in the form of this year’s “Community Champion” Sponsor. They donated $50,000 in total, and gave a wonderful speech to the crowd. They said, “Deciding to become Ivywood’s Community Champion was easy. As an investment company, we see Ivywood Classical Academy not only as an investment to us and our children, but to the community as a whole.”
The gala was wrapped up with music and dancing, and those who won their auctions went home with their prizes. A family member at Ivywood Classical Academy said the following, ”Upon entering the community, it felt as if we found another family. A family of office staff who listens, smiles, and helps. A family of parents who give their time to make our school special, and lastly a family of students who actively display our virtues.”
As we approach the end of another incredible year at our school, we couldn’t be more proud of both our students and families. Their enthusiasm emanates into every lesson, and we know that with such hard-workers we are bound to finish this year strong! Ivywood Classical Academy is a tuition-free public school academy that will educate students using the virtues-based, content-rich, classical education tradition.
Parents may start dropping students off at 7:50 am. Doors open at 8:00 am, and there are three drop off options:
Option 1: Drop off at 7:50, a staff member will supervise students outside of the building until the door open.
Option 2: Park and walk to the entrance from 8:00 - 8:10. Parents may escort their children to the front or side doors.
Option 3: Utilize the car loop from 7:50 - 8:09
Ivywood utilizes a staggered dismissal. All parents must park and enter through the main entrance. All designated pick-up people must present their ICA identification barcode which will be scanned by an ICA employee prior to gaining entrance to the building. Students are dismissed directly from classrooms.
