Through this partnership, Ivywood implements a content-rich classical curriculum grounded in the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty. Hillsdale College provides curricular resources, ongoing professional development in classical education for teachers and school leaders, and guidance to support the Academy in faithfully carrying out its classical mission.
The PC is a process to modify specific credit requirements and/or content expectations based on the Educational Development Plan (EDP) and individual learning needs of a student. It is designed to serve students who want to accelerate or go beyond the MMC requirements and students who need to individualize learning requirements to meet the MMC requirements. The personal curriculum option allows the board of the public school academy to award a regular high school diploma providing the student completes the requirements of the PC, including as many of the content expectations of the MMC as practicable.
A personal curriculum may be appropriate for a student who has demonstrated one or more of the following:

Ivywood Classical Academy (ICA) is a tuition-free Kindergarten through 12th grade public charter school in Plymouth, MI that is focused on classical education and open to ages 5 years old and up. ICA is a Hillsdale College Member School.
Parents may start dropping students off at 7:50 am. Doors open at 8:00 am, and there are three drop off options:
Option 1: Drop off at 7:50, a staff member will supervise students outside of the building until the doors open.
Option 2: Park and walk to the entrance from 8:00 - 8:10. Parents may escort their children to the front or side doors.
Option 3: Utilize the car loop from 7:50 - 8:09
Ivywood utilizes a staggered dismissal. All parents must park and enter through the main entrance. All designated pick-up people must present their ICA identification barcode which will be scanned by an ICA employee prior to gaining entrance to the building. Students are dismissed directly from classrooms.
